"Rules of the Road - The Game" is an educational tool meant to be fun and informative. It is not to be used as a basis for legal claims or action. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the answers, the final authority to every question is the individual state's vehicle code.

Some answers to the enclosed questions are controversial. They are solely Downshift Inc's interpretation of a particular state's law or laws. This interpretation may not be that of the officer who gives you a ticket nor of the judge who upholds it. By its very nature traffic law must be pliant to be applicable. Room for interpretation of a particular law is often necessary for an officer to do his or her job of discerning between the safe and unsafe. In many instances, the only correct answer is, "it depends."
